MADISON, Wis. — Excelling both in the classroom and in their sports, an outstanding 106 student-athletes from the University of Wisconsin fall sports teams were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-Big Ten team, as announced by the Big Ten Conference on Thursday.
Football led the way with 45 honorees, while women’s soccer had 21 student-athletes recognized and men’s soccer had 14 honorees. Nine members of the men’s cross country team that won the 2024 Big Ten Cross Country title were recognized, along with 12 members of the UW women’s cross country squad. Five student-athletes from the volleyball team also earned academic accolades from the Big Ten.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports, have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
In addition, the following student-athletes were recognized by having 4.0 GPA’s.
