19 COMPLETE AVC INTERNATIONAL REFEREE REFRESHER COURSE AT FIVB DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN THAILAND

Bangkok, Thailand, December 4, 2022 – After hectic five days of intensive learning experience, the AVC International Referee Refresher Course at the FIVB Development Center in Thailand completed on a high note on Sunday with all candidates attending the Certificate Presentation.

The course kicked off on November 30 and was run through Sunday, December 4. A total of 19 candidates from 9 countries comprising Korea, Maldives, Mongolia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Australia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand underwent the course, conducted by FIVB and AVC Instructor Mr Songsak Chareonpong, himself AVC Referees Committee Chairman, with the assistance of AVC E-Scoresheet and VIS Supervisor Mr Pavarit Dairinram from Thailand and AVC VIS and E-Scoresheet Instructor Mr Lee Jia Wai from Chinese Taipei.

   

Aside from gaining important knowledge and updated relevant information about refereeing, the candidates also stood a good chance of learning basic concepts, principles as well as the practical application of both E-Scoresheet and VIS.

   

The Certificate Presentation on Sunday was jointly presided by Mr Somporn Chaibangyang, President of Thailand Volleyball Association, and AVC Honorary Life Vice President and AVC Executive Director Mr Shanrit Wongprasert.

   

Also attending the presentation and the Closing Ceremony were FIVB and AVC Instructor Mr Songsak Chareonpong and the two assistants Mr Lee Jia Wei and Mr Pavarit Dairinram, FIVB DC in Thailand General Manager Mr Issara Riddhisinha, AVC Development Coordinator Ms Mingkwan Pusiddusid and all participating candidates.

    

AVC VIS and E-Scoresheet Instructors Mr Pavarit and Mr Lee thanked all participating candidates in this course, pinning their high hopes on all participants to bring the knowledge on E-Scoresheet and valuable experience they had gained from the course to continue the growth and create progress in holding future events in their country, domestically and internationally.

   

Mr Shanrit congratulated on all participants’ success, upbeat that the valuable knowledge they had gained from this course will become a valued asset for local and international events to be organised in the near future in the participants’ country.
