2023 Spring Schedule Announced for Michigan Volleyball

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan volleyball team and head coach Erin Virtue announced the program’s 2023 spring schedule on Wednesday (March 1). The spring season will span four separate weekends in March and April, including one home match in Crisler Center.
U-M will open up spring competition at Crisler Center against Eastern Michigan on March 26 in what will serve as the first opportunity to catch Michigan Volleyball in action. The Wolverines will face off against the Eagles at 2 p.m. Admission will be free and the contest will mark the debut of head coach Erin Virtue and her new staff.
On April 1, the Maize and Blue will hit the road to face off against Northern Illinois University at 11:30 a.m. CT and against Loyola at 1 p.m. CT in Chicago, Illinois. Both matches will be played at Gentile Arena.
On April 8, Michigan will head to the Ball Sports Academy in Angola, Indiana for the Team Pineapple Collegiate Volleyball Showcase. Teams participating include Purdue Fort Wayne, Michigan State, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Oakland, Ball State, Toledo and Valparaiso. Michigan will play three matches, with opponents and start times yet to be determined.
The Wolverines are set to wrap up spring play on Saturday, April 15 at the Grand Rapids Volleyball Hall of Fame Showcase at Grand Rapids Community College. Michigan will play Bowling Green at 11:30 a.m. and Western Michigan at 12:45 p.m. before taking on on Michigan State in the marquee match at 5:30 p.m. There will be an autograph session at 4:30 before the Michigan State match.
