2025 Volleyball SEC Slate Announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tennessee volleyball’s 15-match SEC slate for the 2025 campaign was announced Thursday morning by the league office.

 

For the first time in conference history, volleyball will feature programs from all 16 member institutions. Notable changes for this season’s league matchups include playing every team just one time and the return of the SEC Volleyball Championship for the first time since 2005. Match times and television assignments will be announced at a later date.

 

The Lady Vols open league play at home on Wednesday, Sept. 24, against Georgia before hosting South Carolina on Friday, Sept. 26. Tennessee then hits the road for three straight matches against LSU (Oct. 3), Texas (Oct. 8) and Ole Miss (Oct. 12).

 

For the first time since 2022, the Florida Gators head to Food City Center for a showdown on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The following Sunday (Oct. 19), Tennessee will look to extend its four-match home win streak against the Auburn Tigers.

 

The back half of the conference slate alternates between weekend series on the road and at home, starting with trips to Alabama (Oct. 24) and Mississippi State (Oct. 26). UT hosts Missouri on Halloween followed by a Sunday matchup against Texas A&M on Nov. 2.

 

On Friday, Nov. 7, the Lady Vols head to Nashville to face Vanderbilt, who will be competing in its first season as a program. From there, Tennessee heads to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday, Nov. 9. The Big Orange returns home for the final weekend of the regular season, hosting Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 14, and Oklahoma on Sunday, Nov. 16.

 

The SEC Volleyball Championship will run November 21-25 at Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Ga. The tournament previously took place from 1979 to 2005, with the Lady Vols winning in 1981, 1982, 1984 and 2004.

 

A major matchup during the non-conference slate was already announced in March, as Tennessee will take on Purdue in Bridgestone Arena as part of the inaugural Broadway Block Party. The August 31 event is a triple-header competition with three SEC programs taking on three Big Ten opponents.
