#22 Utah Volleyball Tamed the Arizona Wildcats

SALT LAKE CITY – No. 22 Utah Volleyball returned home to the Jon M. Huntsman Center, taking down the Arizona Wildcats, 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24). Kamryn Gibadlo had a career night, putting down her milestone 500th career kill in the first set, and continuing on to set a new single-match career-high kill mark with 19.
 
Utah took an early lead in the first set, 6-5, taking advantage of Arizona’s errors. The Utes extended their lead out to 11-6, using kills from Kamryn Gibadlo and Kamry Bailey, while getting some help from Wildcat mistakes. Gibadlo stalled an Arizona three-point run, putting down her 500th career kill, giving Utah the 20-16 advantage. The Utes continued to trade points with the opposition, before Lauren Jardine put away the final kill of the set, 25-20.
 
The Utes were unable to carry the momentum from the first to the second set, as Arizona tallied the first three points of the set. Utah evened the match at 6-6, coming off the Lauren Jardine kill before a series of Arizona scoring runs led the Wildcats to a 21-15 advantage. The Utes cut into the Arizona lead with a four-point run, trailing the Wildcats 22-20, after Emrie Satuala, Allie Olsen and Gibadlo tallied kills for the Utah rally. The Wildcats would go on to take the second set, 21-25.
 
Utah swung the momentum back in their favor, coming out for the third set and taking a quick 3-1 lead to get things started. The back-and-forth continued as Arizona fought…
