25th-ranked Cougs welcome UCLA for midweek matchup in Bohler Gym


PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State volleyball (21-8, 13-5 Pac-12), the 25th-ranked team in the AVCA Division I women’s volleyball coaches’ poll for a third week in a row, gets set to host its penultimate match on the 2022 regular season against UCLA (15-12, 9-9 Pac-12) Tuesday in Bohler Gym.  Tuesday’s match will be televised live on Pac-12 Network with A.J. Kanell on the play-by-play and a first serve slated for 6:04 p.m.

The Cougs are coming off of an impressive 2-0 weekend that saw them sweep Utah on Friday night before a convincing four-set win over Colorado to split the season series with the Buffaloes.  Pia Timmer averaged a team-high 4.43 kills/set last weekend and Magda Jehlarova had a season-high 16 kills on only 21 swings (16-1-21, .714) in Sunday’s win over Colorado.  WSU improved to 10-1 on the season at home going into this week’s final two matches in Bohler Gym.
