KANSAS CITY – Stephaney Fifield claimed another top honor recently, earning NAIA Honorable Mention All-American accolades on the heels of being named the Crossroads League Libero of the Year.

Fifield recorded 711 digs and 36 service aces during her first season anchoring the Taylor defense, topping the Crossroads League with 6.0 digs per set and closing her junior season ninth in the NAIA in total digs and digs per set.

The Fostoria, Michigan product was a consistent force for the Trojans, collecting at least 10 digs in all but one of her 34 matches and tallying at least 20 digs in 21 contests. Fifield also surpassed the elusive 30-dig mark in three outings.

The three-time CL Libero of the Week, 2021 CL Libero of the Year and First-Team All-Crossroads League performer was one of six student-athletes from the Crossroads League to grab NAIA All-American honors this season. Of the 97 NAIA All-American award recipients, Fifield was among a group of 49 non-seniors and was just one-of-three non-seniors from the CL to be named an All-American.

Fifield follows Amanda Adams (2020) and Samantha Korn (2018) as the third member of the Taylor volleyball program to earn NAIA All-American honors in the past four seasons under head coach Erin Luthy.

Fifield becomes the 18th NAIA All-American in the history of the Taylor volleyball program, and is the seventh student-athlete at Taylor to be named an NAIA All-American this semester.
