SEATTLE — The Beach Dawgs have received a commitment from a big addition as Teagan DeFalco will join the program for 2022-23. DeFalco comes to Seattle from Grand Canyon University, which competed in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships for the first time this spring.
DeFalco is a native of Long Beach, Calif. and was a critical piece on the Lopes roster that earned the No. 7 seed in the 2022 NCAA Championships. This season, DeFalco had wins against pairs from Stanford, California, Arizona, Arizona State, Hawaii, Tulane, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, plus a couple of wins against the Huskies.
She has 64 beach wins over her four-year career, including a 21-9 mark in 2022 primarily playing at No. 3. DeFalco also played at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in 2021 and the No. 1 spot in 2020.
DeFalco was also a standout indoor player for the Lopes, earning WAC Libero of the Year honors in 2021 and collecting over 1,800 career digs.
She will pursue post-baccalaureate studies at Washington.
