WASHINGTON – Gallaudet University rolled to a 3-0 win over Goucher College here Wednesday night in a non-conference women’s volleyball match in the Field House.
Gallaudet (8-10) allowed Goucher (3-12) to hang around in the first set as the Bison made six attack errors, two service errors and allowed the Gophers to pick-up three aces in the 25-19 opening set.
The Bison cleaned things up from there as they rolled 25-14 and 25-16 in the next two sets. GU posted .324 and .452 attack percentage in the second and third set, respectively.
Freshman outside hitter Citrine Lummer (Frederick, Md.) led the way with 10 kills and 15 digs to record the double-double. Junior opposite Emily Wright (Penn Valley, Calif.) added nine kills. Junior setter Emma Giuntoli (Austin, Texas) passed out 19 assists and served up four aces. Junior middle hitter Cassidy Perry (Frederick, Md.) was a force in the middle with seven blocks (five solo) and seven kills. Junior libero Leila Sicoli (Austin, Texas) made a match-high 17 digs, passed out four assists and served up three of GU’s 13 aces. Freshman Enza Visco (Riverside, Calif.) tallied 13 assists and freshman Nicole Hicks (Corona, Calif.) had three aces. Sophomore outside hitter Hannah Weiss (Riverside, Calif.) tied a season-high seven kills in the win.
Goucher (3-12) was led by Kailee Turner’s six kills and 10 digs and eight assists while Riley Kocell passed out 14 assists in the straight-set loss.

UP NEXT
GU will travel to Allentown, Pa., this Saturday, Oct. 1, to take on Rosemont College and Cedar Crest College in a non-conference tri-meet that starts at noon.
