Women’s Volleyball Swept on the Road at Ithaca

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Union College women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-8) match to conference frontrunner Ithaca College in a Liberty League matchup on Saturday afternoon at Ben Light Gymnasium.
 
Junior Mya Delesdernier led Union (9-8, 2-2 Liberty League) with five kills, followed by four each from classmates Keara Page and Nikki Newcomer. First-year George Page tied for the match high with 14 digs, while senior Haley Kresch added a team-leading 11 assists.
 
The visitors managed just 17 kills on the day, compared to 37 for Ithaca (14-3, 3-0 Liberty League). Jennifer Pitts and Alexandra Montgomery tallied 10 kills apiece for the home team, with Elli Gaskill chipping in a team-best 14 digs.
 
Union will finish off its home schedule on Friday night, when the team celebrates Senior Night before a 5 p.m. matchup against Clarkson University at Viniar Athletic Center.
