Volleyball Australia Monday announced Australian Radio’s Home of Sport SEN as its major media partner for the upcoming Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest, which will be held at the iconic Torquay beach between November 23 and December 4.

The marquee event will bring together World Beach Pro Tour and domestic competitions into the biggest showcase of beach volleyball Australia has seen since the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

The national media partnership was developed with the assistance of Volleyball Australia’s commercial agency The Partner Group and will offer Volleyball Australia the opportunity to connect with sports fans across the country, profile the world’s best beach volleyball players as well as assist VA to drive attendance at the event.

The star-studded field taking to the courts in Torquay should include local favourites such as Olympic silver medallists Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho del Solar, as well as a range of top international talents like reigning Olympic and World Champions Anders Mol and Christian Sorum of Norway.

The partnership between Volleyball Australia and SEN also includes a commitment from the network to produce a 20-minute preview panel show from their state-of-the-art studio facilities, which will highlight key match-ups, broadcast interviews with the best beach athletes and outline the top music acts and entertainment options available on Elephant Walk park in Torquay.

Listeners will also be able to soak up the atmosphere of the event courtesy of fan-favourite sports commentator Dwayne Russell, who will host his 3-hour show from Spectator Park during the event.

Volleyball Australia’s CEO Andrew Dee said this is an exciting opportunity to partner with SEN and convey the growing excitement and anticipation around the Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest to the Australian audience.

“The Great Ocean Road Beach Volleyfest will be the largest events to be held on Australian beaches in years and this partnership is a unique opportunity for us to connect with the broader volleyball community across Australia in a variety of ways, and to leverage SEN’s unique reach to grow our audience,” Dee said.

“This partnership announcement could not come at a better time, having officially launched our ticketing program earlier this week. SEN’s unmatched commitment to serving local communities gives us a chance to promote this extraordinary event and make sure local and interstate sports fans can…
