COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri volleyball battled it out against Auburn in a five-set dual, but a strong third set by Auburn propelled them to the 3-2 win (21-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 15-12).
Mizzou (7-9, 0-6 SEC) had a trio reach double-digit kills with the senior Anna Dixon leading the Tigers with a season-best 19. Kaylee Cox added 13 and Jordan Iliff 12 to help the Tigers’ offensive charge.
Auburn (17-1, 6-1 SEC) had a trio lead the offensive efforts. Akasha Anderson led the offensive charge with 20 terminations. Madison Scheer produced 16 and Kendal Kemp respectively had 10 terminations for the Tigers.
Dixon tied her season-best 19 kills to go along with her nine digs – the 15th time she has recorded a double-double digit kills this season.
