CLEMSON, S.C. – Syracuse volleyball remains on the road this weekend with more league action on tap. Head Coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam and company will start things off against Clemson on Friday (Oct. 21st) in Clemson, S.C. before heading down to Atlanta, Ga. to face #10 Georgia Tech on Sunday (Oct. 23rd). 
 
Opening serve versus the Tigers is scheduled for 7 p.m., while the meeting with the Yellow Jackets is slated for 1 p.m. Both matches will air live on ACC Network Extra.
 
The Orange boast a 12-3 series edge over the Tigers. The two squads first met on October 19th, 1990, resulting in a 3-0 sweep for Syracuse. ‘Cuse took the most recent meeting (Oct. 24th, 2021) in 3-0 victory fashion. SU is currently on a 10-match win streak over the Clemson Tigers. 
 
‘Cuse trails in the all-time series against Georgia Tech, as the Yellow Jackets hold a slight 7-6 lead. The two teams first competed against each other on Oct. 13th, 1989, where Syracuse emerged with a 3-0 victory. GT took the last meeting in four sets (Nov. 11th, 2018), putting SU on a three-match losing streak to the Yellow Jackets.  
 
The last time Syracuse met a ranked opponent was Sunday, October 9th, 2022, when the squad fell 0-3 to #2 Louisville. 
 
The last time Syracuse beat a ranked opponent was on Nov. 27th, 2015, when the Orange swept #15 Louisville 3-0. The straight-set victory over Louisville marked the first time since 2012 the Orange have beaten a ranked opponent. Syracuse defeated No. 18 Iowa State in five sets to take the Iowa State Tournament crown during the 2012 season.
 
Viktoriia Lokhmanchuk has recorded 25 service aces and leads the team in service aces per set (0.36) this season. The Ukrainian is just three aces away from tying the 9th spot on the Single Season Service Aces (During 25-point Scoring Format 2008- Pres) program record list.
