Second Half of Pac-12 Play Starts Friday


EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 18 Oregon volleyball team goes on the road to start the second half of Pac-12 play, beginning Friday against Arizona. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. (PT) on Pac-12 Arizona. The Ducks’ weekend finale is set for Sunday at Arizona State, starting at 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Insider.

Last Time Out
The Ducks swept their way past Colorado (25-23, 25-17, 25-22) at Matthew Knight, a result that doubled as the 100th-career victory for head coach Matt Ulmer. Aided by eight service aces, tying a season high, and nine total team blocks, UO limited the Buffs to a .149 hitting percentage. The offense hit .344 in the close-out set for Oregon’s fifth-consecutive win in the series.
 
Rankings Roundup
On the heels of a 2-0 home weekend, Oregon moved up two spots to No. 18 in the Oct. 24  AVCA poll. Additionally, the Ducks are up to 14th in the latest NCAA RPI release.
 
100 and Counting…
Now in his sixth season as head coach, Matt Ulmer is 100-62 after the Ducks’ straight-set win over Colorado (Oct. 23). That record is good for a .617 winning percentage. The win doubled as his 62nd against a Pac-12 opponent and 55th at Matthew Knight Arena.
 
Another Milestone
With her final kills against Colorado (Oct. 23), Brooke Nuneviller reached 1,500 career points. She had 13 kills, an ace and a block assist in the match. She surpassed 1,300 career kills against Utah (Oct. 21). She heads into Friday’s match with career marks of 1,316 kills (10th in Oregon history), 120 aces (seventh at UO) and 64 total blocks (16 solo, 96 block assists).
 
Starts with a Serve
The Ducks matched their season high with eight service aces in a straight-set win over Colorado (Oct. 23). They also tallied eight aces this season against Penn State (Sept. 10) and Miami (Sept. 18). Mimi Colyer, Elise Ferreira and Georgia Murphy each had two aces to go along with one each for Brooke Nuneviller and Daley McClellan. The Ducks have five or more aces in 14 matches this season.
 
Stat Pack
For the 10th time this season, the Ducks hit .300 or higher in a match with their .305 outing against Utah (Oct. 21). Six of the 10 have come during Pac-12 play. Oregon carries a .290 hitting percentage into the weekend, good for second in the league and eighth in the NCAA.
