Kamille Gibson Joins Tennessee Volleyball Program

Kamille Gibson – an outside hitter – from Crossroads, Texas, has signed her National Letter of Intent, joining the Tennessee volleyball program.

“I chose Tennessee for the amazing culture and the great mindset around me,” Gibson said.

Gibson comes to Rocky Top out of Braswell High School and TAV volleyball club in Lewisville, where she spent five years.

“Kamille is a special athlete who we are excited to watch grow within our program,” head coach Eve Rackham Watt said. “She is a great jumper and has a really good arm. What we like best about Kamille is her ability to play on either pin while also having experience at the middle blocker position. We plan to develop her as a six-rotation attacker and believe she will be a go-to player for us.”

Invited to the 2022 UA Next Camp, Gibson finished her high school career with 1,161 kills, 500 digs and 137 blocks. She was named to the District 5-6A first team in 2021 and to the second team in 2020.

From an athletic family, Gibson’s father played collegiate basketball at Oklahoma City University. She has one sister, Kamryn Gibson, who currently plays women’s basketball for Kilgore College. Her oldest sibling, Micaya White, was a four-time AVCA All-American at Texas and was named VolleyballMag.com Freshman of the Year.

Gibson’s stepfather is Randy White who played basketball at Louisiana Tech and was the eighth overall draft pick by the Dallas Mavericks in 1989.
