Maryland Volleyball to Take European Tour


COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Maryland volleyball program has announced that it will embark on a 12-day training tour in Europe from May 27-June 7. The trip will span three countries will feature four exhibition games for the Terps.
 
Maryland will visit Croatia, Italy and Slovenia during the tour.
 
“We are thrilled to take our first-ever foreign tour this summer in Europe,” said Head Coach Adam Hughes. “A lot of work went into making this trip possible, including the support of our administration and those who helped donate to make this trip come to life. The foreign tour will be a fantastic opportunity for our student-athletes to see volleyball across the globe while also taking in such a powerful cultural experience. I can speak on behalf of our entire program that we’re grateful for all those who helped make this trip possible, and we’ll be taking full advantage of such a wonderful opportunity.”
 
During the trip, Maryland will tour several historic cities such as Maribor and Ljubljana, Slovenia, Istris and Rovinj, Croatia, and Pula, Croatia. Team team will also visit Lake Como along with Milan and Venice, Italy.
