2023 Volleyball Schedule | Season Ticket Information
MADISON, Wis. – The Big Ten Conference office has announced volleyball conference schedule for the 2023 fall season.
Badger fans will have a chance to watch four of the nation’s top-ranked teams from the 2022 season when they return to the UW Field House this fall. No. 8 Ohio State, No. 9 Nebraska, No. 10 Minnesota, and No. 20 Purdue all make trips to Madison. All four Big Ten teams made it to at least the round of 32 in last season’s NCAA Tournament. The Badgers will also host Indiana, Michigan, Rutgers, Maryland, Illinois, and Iowa in the Field House.
Wisconsin (28-4 overall, 19-1 B1G), the four-time reigning Big Ten champions, opens the season on the road at Northwestern (18-14, 7-13) on Sept. 22. The Badgers home opener is Sept. 24 against Indiana (16-16, 9-11). Following Indiana, Wisconsin has another split weekend where the team visits No. 8 Ohio State (22-10, 15-5) on Sept. 29, and follow-up with a home match Oct. 1 against Michigan (17-13, 8-12).
After road matches at Iowa (10-21, 4-16) and at Illinois (15-15, 10-10) on Oct. 4 and Oct. 7, the Badgers open a three-match home stretch, welcoming Rutgers (8-24, 2-18), Maryland (16-16, 7-13), and Ohio State to the Field House on Oct. 13, Oct. 15, and Oct. 18. The team has a similar schedule over it’s next five matches with road matches at No. 9 Nebraska (26-6, 16-4) and at Michigan State (13-18, 4-16) on Oct. 21 and Oct. 27 before hosting No. 10 Minnesota (22-9, 15-5), No. 20 Purdue (21-11, 11-9) and Illinois on Oct. 30, Nov. 1, and Nov. 4.
Wisconsin takes to the road for its next four matches, playing at Maryland, No. 11 Penn State (26-8, 13-7), Purdue, and Indiana in mid-November. UW’s home season wraps up on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25 when Nebraska and Iowa, respectively, come to the Field House.
