COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College women’s volleyball junior Alexandra Báez Rentas (San Juan, Puerto Rico/New Dimensions) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Sept. 24. It was her third weekly accolade of the season.
Báez Rentas turned in 33 assists, 12 digs, six kills on .357 hitting, and two aces in a 3-0 win at Bates College on Friday. She leads the NE10 in assists per set (9.32) while taking fifth in digs per set (4.12), adding 20 kills on .263 hitting with six aces and five blocks. The second-year captain is third in the NCAA East Region in assists average and 49th across Division II.
Saint Michael’s opens NE10 play next Tuesday by hosting Southern New Hampshire University at 7 p.m. The Penmen won the 2022 NCAA East Regional Tournament to qualify for the Elite 8.
