MATCH WEEK

Utah Volleyball travels to the Evergreen State this weekend to take on the fourth-ranked Washington State Cougars and the Washington Huskies. The Utes clash with the Cougars on Friday, Oct. 13, at 7:00 p.m. MT in Pullman, Wash. at Bohler Gym. The match will be broadcasted on the Washington State live stream. The Utes close out a quick road trip with a visit to Seattle, Wash. in the Alaska Airlines Arena for a battle with the Huskies at 1 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Washington.

Kamry Bailey collected 17 kills last weekend vs. Oregon State, setting her new career high.

Allie Olsen is ranked seventh in the Pac-12 with a .363 hitting percentage.

Vanessa Ramirez is ranked third in the Pac-12 with 4.04 digs per set.

• The Utes totaled a season-high 16.5 blocks against the Beavers last Friday.

• The Utes split the series with Washington last season, including an upset of No. 15 ranked Huskies in Salt Lake City in straight sets. Washington leads the all-time series 20-12.

• The Utes and the Cougars are nearly level in the all-time series record with WSU leading 18-14. Utah is looking to take their first game in Pullman since 2019.

 

SCOUTING THE #4 COUGS

Washington State is off to their program’s best start through 17 matches since the 1997 season, starting the season 15-2. The No. 4 Cougars have defeated three top-10 teams with each victory coming on the road. Washington State fell at home against No. 3 Stanford last Sunday in four sets, recording their second loss of the season. The Cougars are second in the Pac-12 and seventh in the country in hitting percentage at a clip of 0.299. The Cougars offense produces 13.75 kills per set, ranking third in the Pac-12 and 25th in the nation.
