Bruins Travel to Utah, Colorado


LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women’s volleyball team travels to Utah and Colorado this week. The Bruins (11-9, 3-7) face the Utes (9-11, 4-6) Friday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. (PT) in the Jon M. Huntsman Center and the Buffaloes (12-9, 4-6) Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. (PT) in the CU Events Center. Both contests are available for streaming on Pac-12 Insider.

· UCLA is led by Alfee Reft who was announced as the program’s fourth head coach on Dec. 19, 2022.
· UCLA enters this weekend ranked No. 48 in the latest ratings percentage index (RPI) and ninth in the Pac-12 Conference standings. The upcoming matches take on more importance in terms of NCAA Tournament at-large selection hopes.
· Outside hitter Iman Ndiaye leads UCLA in kills (230), kills per set (2.99), points (275.5) and points per set (3.58). Ndiaye has reached double-digit kills in 13 out of 20 matches this year and leads UCLA’s pin hitters with a .268 hitting percentage.
· Middle blockers Desiree Becker and Anna Dodson rank third and fifth in blocks in the Pac-12 with 93 and 88, respectively.
· Dodson owns a team-high .362 hitting percentage and ranks fourth on the squad with 2.96 points per set.
· Dodson leads the Pac-12 with 20 solo blocks.
· Setter Audrey Pak totaled 67 assists, 14 digs, seven kills and three service aces in her two starts last weekend.
· UCLA has split its four Pac-12 matches after a brief losing skid.
 
Last Time Out
UCLA split its two matches versus Washington and then-No. 4 Washington State last weekend, defeating the Huskies in a sweep on Friday, Oct. 20 and losing in four sets to the Cougars on Sunday, Oct. 22. Pak had arguably the most impressive performance of her career against Washington, averaging 11.00 assists per set and recording a career-high four kills and three service aces.
