No. 9 Washington State set to honor seniors as it welcomes UCLA, USC into Bohler Gym


PULLMAN, Wash. — No. 9 Washington State volleyball (19-6, 9-5 Pac-12) continues down the back stretch of the conference schedule as it hosts UCLA (14-10, 6-8 Pac-12) and USC (16-8, 10-4 Pac-12) this Friday and Sunday, respectively, in Bohler Gym.  The Cougars will honor its eight graduating seniors prior ot the start of this weekend’s matches, a group that includes three players — Magda Jehlárová, Julia Norville, and Pia Timmer —who each rank in the top-five all-time at Washington State in matches played.

The Cougs will honor Magda Jehlářová, Pia Timmer, Julia Norville, and Peyton Claus, prior to the start of Friday’s match vs. UCLA which is slated to begin at 7 p.m. streaming live on Pac-12 Plus (WSU Live Stream).  Karly Basham, Weronika Wojdyla, Iman Isanovic, and Lana Radakovic will be recognized prior first serve of Sunday’s match vs USC beginning at noon, also streaming live on Pac-12 Plus.

>> The Bruins won the only matchup with the Cougars last season in five sets in Pullman.

>> The last home win for the Cougs against UCLA was a five-set win over the 18th-ranked Bruins in the Spring of 2021.

>>  The last time Washington State pulled off the season sweep over UCLA was in 2018 when the Cougars swept No. 20 UCLA at home and followed up with a 3-1 win on the road against a 21st-ranked UCLA team three weeks later.
