Cardinal Blocks Oregon State – Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 4 Stanford remains undefeated against Oregon State after registering a 25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 25-13 win over the Beavers, Saturday, at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford (22-3, 15-1 Pac-12) improves to 75-0 all-time against Oregon State (10-16, 5-11 Pac-12). The Cardinal hit .389 as a team, while holding the Beavers to a .236 clip. Stanford racked up 47 digs and seven aces, while matching its season-high in blocks (14.5).

Middle blocker McKenna Vicini posted a season-high 10 blocks, while hitting .533 with eight kills on 15 errorless swings. Junior Sami Francis also showed off her offensive prowess, tying her career-best with a .667 attack percentage (9-1-12) to go with four blocks.

Outside hitter Caitie Baird and opposite Kendall Kipp tied for a team-high 13 kills. Baird hit .346 and recorded a season-high five blocks, four digs, two assists and an ace. Kipp posted a .379 attack percentage and had six blocks, five digs and an ace.

Setter Kami Miner dished out 47 assists, and totaled eight digs, three kills, two blocks and an ace. Libero Elena Oglivie finished with eight digs and an assist.

Outside hitter Elia Rubin turned in a match-high 15 digs to go with nine kills, three aces and a block. Defensive specialist Anna Pringle came off the bench in all four sets to serve for Francis, tallying an ace and matching her career-high with six digs.
