Faville Named Player of the Year

Muhlenberg senior Alyssa Faville was named Centennial Conference volleyball defensive player of the year.

Faville also repeated on the All-CC first team. She is the first player in program history ever to be selected as a conference player of the year, and she’s only the fourth to earn multiple first-team All-CC nods.

Faville leads the CC by a wide margin and ranks 19th in Division III with her average of 5.76 digs per set. Her 33 digs against Gettysburg tied for the most by a player in a CC match this season, and she also recorded 32 digs at Dickinson in the Mules’ regular-season finale, a four-set win that clinched a playoff berth.

In only three seasons, Faville recorded 1,459 career digs, good for second on the Mules’ all-time list. Her career average of 5.55 digs per set is ninth among active Division III players and shattered the previous school record of 4.81.

Muhlenberg finished the 2023 season with a 14-11 record, its most wins in five years, and won a set in its CC playoff match at Franklin & Marshall.
