Bruins Host No. 2 Stanford, California


LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women’s volleyball team plays its final home games of the season at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom this week versus No. 2 Stanford and California. The Bruins (16-10, 8-8), who have won five out of their last six matches, play the Cardinal (22-3, 15-1) Friday at 7 p.m. (PT) and the Golden Bears (15-12, 4-12) Sunday at 12 p.m. (PT). Both contests are available for viewing with a subscription on the Pac-12 Networks.
 
UCLA will be honoring four of its seniors – Desiree Becker, Kate Lane, Iman Ndiaye and – Audrey Pak before the beginning of Sunday’s match against California.
 
Fans who attended UCLA’s “LA Volleyball Day” match versus Arizona on Nov. 5 can receive free admission to this Friday’s match versus Stanford by showing their ticket from the UCLA-Arizona match at Pauley Pavilion box office on game night.
 
Supporters of the program are encouraged to attend “Brunch with the Bruins” in the Pavilion Club before Sunday’s match versus California. Head coach Alfee Reft will be giving a pre-match chalk talk.

· UCLA improved 10 spots in the latest ratings percentage index (RPI) this week, climbing to 42nd.
· The Bruins are currently sixth in the Pac-12 Conference standings after reaching a .500 winning percentage in conference play for the first time this season with two wins over then-No. 9 Washington State and Washington last week.
· UCLA has won five out of its last six contests and is playing its best stretch of volleyball since the non-conference schedule.
