COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. β Twenty talented players from around the country have been selected for the 2024 U.S. U21 Women’s National Team roster, including Utah Volleyball’s own Kamryn Gibadlo.
“This is such an honor for Kamryn. To be chosen from so many great players at the USA Open tryout for the U21 is an awesome accomplishment,” said head coach Beth Launiere.Β “It’s also a great opportunity for Kamryn to train with some of the best players in the country for a week and to represent the USA. I’m beyond excited for her!”

Gibadlo ended her first season as a Ute in the top 30 in the Pac-12 with 2.61 kills per set. The Cave Creek, Arizona native tallied 17 matches with double-digit kills. Gibadlo accumulated 284 kills in her debut season on 787 swings, ranking second in each category. The Utah newcomer established a six-match double-digit kill streak, beginning on Aug. 30 against Utah State with 12 kills and concluding with 11 kills on Sept. 9 against San Francisco. Gibadlo posted her best hitting percentage of the season in a three-set match against San Francisco, putting down 11 kills on 16 attempts without an error for a .688 clip.
Earlier this spring, Gibadlo had the opportunity to go to the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center for the U.S. Women’s National Team Open Program, where she was able to display her talents in front of some of the top national team coaches. The Women’s National Team Open Program is used for consideration for selection to both the U.S. Women’s National Team and the U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team.
The team will train June 14-22 in Anaheim, California. During that time, 12 athletes out of the 20 will be selected to represent the United States at the 2024 U21 Women’s NORCECA Continental Championship on June 23-July 1 in Toronto, Canada.
