PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The 2024 Rutgers volleyball schedule has arrived including the 20-date Big Ten schedule featuring the conference’s newest members Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Altogether the Scarlet Knights will face ten NCAA opponents including home dates with Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, USC, Minnesota and LIU.
The 2024 season gets underway in Denton, Texas on Aug. 30 – Sept. 1 with RU taking on Miami, who appeared in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, host North Texas and Colorado. The following weekend, Sept. 5- 7 the Scarlet Knights travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas to meet up with the host Razorbacks, an NCAA Tournament third-round participant, along with Little Rock and Louisiana Tech.
Rutgers’ first home dates include NEC Champion LIU on Sept. 10, Binghamton on Sept. 12 and VCU on Sept. 14.
The nonconference schedule concludes in Norfolk, Virginia with host ODU and UMES on Sept. 19 and 20.
Big Ten action starts on Sept. 26 hosting Iowa and a road date with Michigan on Sept. 29.
October kicks off with Rutgers welcoming Final Four participant Wisconsin on Oct. 2 before heading off for a three-game road trip with Maryland on Oct. 5, Iowa on Oct. 11 and national runner-up Nebraska on Oct. 12. RU returns home to host a pair of squads that reached the second round of last year’s tournament with Minnesota on Oct. 18 and USC on Oct. 20. The Scarlet Knights then make their way out west to meet up with Washington on Oct. 25 and NCAA quarterfinalist Oregon on Oct. 27.
RU begins November with four straight home contests including Indiana on Nov. 1, Purdue, who reached the third round of the postseason, on Nov. 2, UCLA on Nov. 7 and Michigan State on Nov. 9. Rutgers will then make its way to Purdue on Nov. 15, Ohio State on Nov. 16, Illinois on Nov. 22 and Northwestern on Nov. 23 for the final conference road dates. The regular season will come to a close hosting NCAA third-round participant Penn State on Nov. 27 and Maryland on Nov. 29.
All Rutgers volleyball home games will be played at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway or the College Avenue Gym in New Brunswick. Venue, game times, television and stream information for 2024 matches will be available at a later…
