2023-24 USC Athletics Recap & Highlights

The 2023-24 athletic season saw solid performances by Trojan teams, highlighted by beach volleyball’s third straight NCAA championship as well as conference titles won by men’s water polo, women’s basketball and beach volleyball. Fifteen USC teams finished their respective seasons ranked in the nation’s top 25, including 10 top-10 finishes by USC teams. Individually, USC had three NCAA champions along with 23 Pac-12 champs. And as the 2024 Paris Olympic Games kicked off in July, USC led all U.S. universities in boasting 67 past, present and current athletes competing in the Games. See below for a review of USC Athletics’ 2023-24 campaign and sport-by-sport achievements:
 
• Beach volleyball captured USC’s 136th national championship and the 38th team title won by a USC women’s team. In all, USC has now won 113 total NCAA team championships (28 NCAA titles by USC women’s teams).
• Two Trojan teams reached NCAA semifinals (men’s water polo and women’s golf)
• Three USC teams reached NCAA quarterfinals (women’s basketball, women’s tennis and women’s water polo)
• Women’s basketball earned a No. 1 seed into the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1986 and reached the Elite Eight 
• Men’s water polo, women’s basketball and beach volleyball all won conference tournament titles.
• 23 Trojans won Pac-12 individual titles 
• Five Trojans were named conference Player of the Year
• Five Trojans were named conference Freshman/Newcomer of the Year
Kaitlyn Dobler (swimming) earned her second consecutive CSC Academic All-America First Team honors
• Beach volleyball also had three Trojans earn CSC Academic All-America First Team honors: Megan Kraft, Audrey Nourse, Nicole Nourse
• 257 Trojans were named to a Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll
• USC finished 14th in the Directors Cup
• In the Capital One Cup, USC women finished ninth, and the USC men finished tied at 30th
• Two Trojans — Kaitlyn Davis and McKenzie Forbes — were selected in the WNBA Draft (16 total USC women’s basketball players have now been picked in a WNBA Draft)
• Four Trojans — Austin Overn, William Watson, Josh Blum and Ryan Jackson — was selected in the MLB Draft
