World ParaVolley President, Lori Okimura of the United States, confirmed this afternoon that the IPC informed the international federation of sitting volleyball that Paris 2024 will be provide enhanced coverage of the Paralympic Sitting Volleyball competition. Coverage will include all matches in the sitting volleyball competition beginning Thursday 29 August through the women’s gold medal finals on Saturday 7 September.
“After several months of collaboration with the IPC Broadcast Team, I am pleased to announce we have received great news that sitting volleyball will received enhanced coverage from the original broadcast plan released by Paris 2024 in March of this year,”. said Okimura, who credited the work of the IPC to secure more media rights holders than ever before to deliver more coverage of all 22 Paralympic sport disciplines including coverage of all 10-days of the women’s and men’s Paris 2024 Paralympic competition.
The expanded coverage days (29

The remaining broadcast schedule remains the same, with multiple camera production through the Women’s Finals on 7 September starting 19:30 local.
“Paris 2024 had the amazing ambition to broadcast aspects of all 22 Paralympic sports in Paris 2024, and most live. They achieved their goal, however, it was announced that 3 sports would not be broadcast live from 29-31 August and instead be delivered via an ENG highlight package as in previous Games. World ParaVolley immediately sought collaboration with the IPC in March , after the announcement, seeking to find a solution.”
Canada’s CBC was the first to announce their full support to broadcast their women’s matches on 29 and 31 August, followed by NBC Sports/Universal to carry defending Paralympogold medalists’ USA women’s matches on their Peacock streaming service.
