Florida Volleyball Remains in Newest AVCA/TARAFLEX Top-25 Poll


The Gators come in at No. 23 in the Division I WVB Oct. 14 rankings.

 

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida volleyball team remains ranked in the top-25, sitting No. 23 in the newest 2024 Division I women’s volleyball poll, released by the organization on Monday. 

The Gators went 1-1 in SEC play last week, beating Mississippi State 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 24-26, 25-14) on Friday, Oct. 11 before falling to South Carolina 0-3 (23-25, 14-25, 18-25) on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Of their remaining 12 regular-season matches, Florida is set to face three opponents that are either ranked or receiving votes in the current poll. The Gators have already played against four teams who are mentioned in Monday’s poll: No. 7 Texas, No. 15 Kentucky, No. 17 Georgia Tech and No. 19 Florida State.
