Many Pairs Shine in First Fall Tournament

TUCSON, Ariz. – In the first fall tournament of the year at the Arizona Fall Classic, Sun Devil Beach Volleyball saw a lot of success, with four different pairs going undefeated.

Every student-athlete on Arizona State’s 2025 squad gained valuable experience at the pairs tournament over the weekend. With seven newcomers, many pairs were a mix of new Sun Devils and returning players. ASU faced pairs from Arizona, Grand Canyon and UTEP.

Junior Daniella Kensinger and redshirt junior Samaya Morin were the top pair for Arizona State and they went 4-0 over the weekend. Another undefeated Sand Devil pair in the gold bracket was redshirt junior Ava Kirunchyk and sophomore Ava Williamson, also going 4-0.

In the silver bracket, sophomore Ava Haughy and newcomer sophomore Olivia McElroy were perfect over the weekend, winning all four matches in straight sets. The bronze bracket was successful for senior Lillie Seymour and sophomore Elsa Snipes, winning all four matchups.

The team will be back on the road this weekend in Manhattan Beach for the AVCA West Coast Championships from October 18-20.
