PREVIEW  

  • The Clemson Tigers (8-9, 0-6 ACC) will play Georgia Tech (11-4, 3-3 ACC) twice this week in a home and home series against the Yellowjackets.  
  • The Tigers will first travel to Atlanta, Ga. to play Georgia Tech on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. before welcoming the Yellowjackets to Jervey Gym on Friday, October 13 at 3 p.m. for Clemson’s Professor and Staff Appreciation match.  
  • This will be the 81st meeting between the two programs. Historically the series between Clemson and Georgia Tech has been even with the all-time record being 39-41 in favor of Georgia Tech.  

 RPI LOOKOUT  

  • In the second RPI rankings of the season, the Clemson Tigers were placed 69th in adjusted RPI.  
  • The Tigers have faced fierce competition midway through the season with the team having already played seven games against opponents within the top-50, including three within the top-10.   
  • Clemson ranks 12th in the ACC in terms of RPI and has 15 total contests with teams in the top-50 of RPI, including two this week against Georgia Tech, who ranks within the top-25.  

 THE INTERSECTION OF AMBITION & HARD WORK  

  • Senior libero Devan Taylor cemented herself in Clemson Tigers’ lore by surpassing 2024 Clemson Hall of Famer, Julie Rodriguez, to claim the sole possession of the second most career digs in Clemson history during the match against Louisville. Taylor currently has 1,576 digs in her career.  
  • The team captain is also a defensive stalwart. The Texan’s 292 digs and 4.79 digs per set are both the second-highest marks in the ACC. Taylor additionally has a top-30 digs per set rate in the nation.
