Cats Take Down Cowgirls in Three to Advance to Fab Four

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Volleyball swept Wyoming (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) to advance to the Fab Four of the NIVC. The Wildcats extended their win streak to nine matches.  
 
Arizona’s trio of pins all had 10 or more kills, led by Jordan Wilson with 13 kills. Carlie Cisneros and Jaelyn Hodge both tallied 10 kills to help the offense. The defense was led by Alayna Johnson with five blocks and Hodge had four blocks.
 
Arizona won the opening set, 25-19. Hodge led the attack with four kills while Cisneros, Johnson, and Wilson rounded out the offense with three kills each. The defense recorded four blocks to hold Wyoming to a .079 hitting percentage. The Cats took a demanding lead with a 6-0 run early in the set and never gave up the lead.
 
The Wildcats took the second set, 25-18, to go up 2-0 in the match. Arizona’s offense hit .323 in the set and Wilson paced Arizona with six kills with a .500 clip. Cisneros followed with four kills. Hodge and Johnson combined for two blocks while Adrianna Bridges and Wilson each had a solo block.
