ELMIRA, NY – The Elmira College Soaring Eagles ended their Athletics Alumni Weekend with an impressive sweep of Saturday’s doubleheader, with two 3-0 wins over Grove City and Curry College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Jordan Peiser ’24 (10), Dylan Vargas ’27 (nine), and Paten Buckwalter ’28 (seven) led the Soaring Eagles in kills against Grove City.
Peiser and Luke Jata ’27 picked up three service aces each while Buckwalter added one of his own.
Max Cohen ’25 racked up 25 assists in the contest while Nick Rohman ’28 chipped in with a career-high (at the time) of 12.
Rei Yuasa ’28 also set career highs in digs with four and assists with two against the Wolverines.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MATCH TWO):
Peiser (11), Jata (10), and Drake Connors ’28 (seven) did most of the damage for the Soaring Eagles in their seventh consecutive victory.
Peiser, Rohman, and Caden Sims ’28 each fired two service aces in the win.
Rohman set a new career high in assists with 34, almost triple the amount he tallied in the first game.
Sims and Connors each finished with two blocks in the match as well.
Jata (.714) and Peiser (.733) finished with a combined hitting percentage of .724 going 21-of-29 attempts.
