Al Rayyan SC clinched the Qatar Volleyball League after posting a convincing 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-21) win in the play-off finals over their fierce rivals Al Arabi SC.
The victory also marked the second time in a short span of time that Al Rayyan defeated Al Arabi to cement their status as the top team in the league.
Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari, President of the Qatar and West Asia Volleyball Associations, presented the trophies.
As the playoff finals approached, they remained steadfast in their pursuit of victory, knowing that Al Arabi SC would be a formidable opponent.
In the finals, Al Rayyan delivered a stable and unwavering performance, showing their mettle and ultimately triumphing over their rivals. Key to their success was the outstanding play of Oliver Venno, who once again proved to be the star of the game.
With 18 points to his name, Venno was instrumental in steering his team to the victory and became the match’s top scorer. On the opposing side, Marko Sedlacek and Dusan Petkovic each scored 11 points for Arabi.
Throughout the season, Al Rayyan SC proved to be a force to be reckoned with. They consistently displayed a level of skill and determination that set them apart from the other teams in the league.
