BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama volleyball rallied from losing the first two sets to Tarleton State Saturday afternoon to take the next three and pull the reverse sweep for the five-set win.
The five-set win is Alabama’s (7-1) first since Oct. 13, 2021 vs. Missouri and its first reverse sweep since Sept. 4, 2021 vs. Southern Miss. Tarleton State (5-5) won the first two sets, 19-25 and 22-25, before the Crimson Tide rallied to win the next three 25-22, 25-17 and 15-10. Alabama set season highs with 68 kills and 15 blocks, with Chaise Campbell leading the way at the net with a career-best nine blocks. Kendyl Reaugh led the team with 19 kills, adding 10 digs for her fifth double-double of the season including each of the last three matches. Callie Kieffer paced the offense with a season-best 59 assists, her second match this year with 50 or more.
