Alex Vega Earns Empire 8 Rookie of the Week for the Fourth Time

ELMIRA, N.Y. – The Empire 8 Athletic Conference named its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon, with Alex Vega ’26 earning conference rookie of the week for the fourth time after setting a season-high in set assists against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this past Friday. 

Against the Engineers, Vega was instrumental, posting a new career-high in set assists (7), while posting his seventh double-digit digs match of the season after notching ten. 

For the season, Vega has recorded 151 digs to go along with 39 set assists.
