Junior women’s volleyball outside hitter Anna Pilkey (Ballston Spa) and junior football quarterback Zac Boyes (Buffalo/Kenmore West) have been named the SUNY Cortland Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 12.
Anna was named the MVP of the SUNYAC Tournament after helping lead Cortland to two wins and its third straight league crown. She had 11 kills with no errors in 23 attempts along with eight digs in the semifinals versus Brockport and 10 kills and 14 digs in the championship sweep of New Paltz.
Zac completed 24-of-32 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 125 yards on 15 carries in Cortland’s 38-28 win at Ithaca as the Red Dragons reclaimed the Cortaca Jug.
