Benjamín Haffner had the opportunity to speak on the Suárez al Día radio programme, where he discussed his journey as a sitting volleyball athlete and his goals for the upcoming South American Championship in Brazil.
The interview, conducted in Spanish, provided insights into Haffner’s dedication to the sport and his determination to represent Argentina at the highest level.
Haffner, who is a member of the Argentina men’s sitting volleyball team for the past five years, is gearing up for the upcoming South American Championship set to take place in Brazil this November. Throughout 2024, the team will undergo training at the National High-Performance Centre (CENARD) to prepare for the competition.
In 2023, he was honoured with the ‘Golden Ball’ as the best receiver in the Pan American Zone Championship held in Canada. He also participated in two international competitions in Brazil.
Additionally, one of his goals for 2024 is to establish a team to compete in the national sitting volleyball league. To achieve this, he is actively seeking individuals with motor disabilities to form the team.
