TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Volleyball will begin its postseason journey at home in McKale Center, where it will host the first and second rounds of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC). The Wildcats (20-9, 9-9 Big 12) will host Pacific and Weber State.
The Wildcats’ NIVC appearance marks Arizona’s second time competing in the tournament and the first under head coach Charita Stubbs. Arizona hosted the NIVC in 2021.
The Cats will have a first-round bye and will play the winner of Game 1 on Saturday, December 7 at 6 p.m. MST. Pacific and Weber State will face off in the first round on Friday, December 6 at 6 p.m. MST.
The Wildcats are heading into the NIVC with a 20-9 record and a seventh-place finish in the Big 12. This marks the first time Arizona has recorded 20 wins in a season since 2018. Arizona closed out the regular season on a seven-match win streak – the program’s longest conference win streak since 2001. The Wildcats opened the season by going undefeated in non-conference for the first time since 2009 and beat two top 20 teams – BYU and Kansas – in Big 12 action.
More information about tickets for the NIVC will be released soon.
