Bangkok, Thailand, June 4, 2023 – The AVC VIS Instructor Course at the FIVB Development Center Thailand drew to a successful close on Sunday when a total of 23 attendees from 15 federations had acquired knowledge and skills needed for thorough understanding of the innovative AVC E-Scoresheet and Volleyball Information System.
The participants from China, Hong Kong China, Iran, Korea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Macao, Vietnam, Singapore and Australia underwent the training course from May 31 and June 4, 2023. Three AVC VIS Master Instructors comprising Mr Pavarit Dairinram from Thailand, Mr Lee Jiawei from Chinese Taipei and Ms Pawna Srithoop from Thailand had instructed all participants to understand important VIS matters including VIS operational system principles, technical system aspects and a detailed overview of VIS operations.
After hectic five days of theoretical and practical learning, the attendees had completed the entire course and then attended the certificate presentation and closing ceremony on Sunday at the FIVB Development Center Thailand.
Thailand Volleyball Association President Mr Somporn Chaibangyang and Mr Shanrit Wongprasert, Honorary Life Vice President and Executive Director of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), jointly presided over the closing ceremony and presented certificates to each of course attendants.
Also joining the ceremony were AVC Secretary General Mr Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, Dr Eom Han Too, Chairman of the AVC Sports Events Council, Mr Songsak Chareonpong, Chairman of the AVC Referees Committee, three instructors Mr Pavarit Dairinram, Mr Lee Jiawei and Ms Pawna Srithoop and AVC Development Coordinator Ms Mingkwan Pusiddusid.
In his speech, Mr Shanrit congratulated all attendees on their great success in the course, citing that the knowledge and experience they had acquired from the course will be a valued asset they can use for their national teams in their future local and international events.
