MILAN, Italy – The Wisconsin volleyball team ended their competitive schedule on tour with a rematch with the Italian National Volleyball (B) Team. The Badgers looked to even the series after Sunday’s five set loss, but ultimately fell 21-25, 22-25, 24-26 and played a friendly fourth, winning 25-21.
Once again, Julia Orzol led the offensive charge with a team high 12 kills in the match. Anna Smrek and Ella Wrobel chipped in with 11 and seven respectively.

The setting duo of Izzy Ashburn and MJ Hammill combined for 33 assists with 17 and 16 each.
In the friendly fourth, Gabby McCaa saw action and tallied six kills helping the Badgers to a set win.
With the end of the competitive schedule on tour, the team will spend enjoy one more day in Europe as the team will travel to Zurich, Switzerland before heading back to Madison. The Badgers finished 3-2 in the 2023 Foreign Tour.
