HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – The South Carolina beach volleyball team will send its full roster to the AVCA Pairs National Qualifier tournament this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-29, hosted by Rally VB at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. The tournament will feature two divisions, one open division and a second that offers a chance to win a bid to the AVCA Pairs National Championship, running next weekend (Nov. 3-5) and also hosted in Huntsville.
The tournament begins Saturday morning with pool play, in the “Bid” division the Gamecocks will be represented by pairs Skylar Allen and Jolie Cranford, and Allison Coens and Rebeca Olariu. Allen and Cranford will compete against Texas A&M-CC and Eastern Kentucky in their pool, Coens and Olariu have Central Arkansas, Southern Miss and UAB. The open division will not be able to earn a bid, but six Gamecock pairings will battle through a field of 23 different pools of three teams apiece.
