MATCHES 9-10

Illinois volleyball hits the road for the start of Big Ten play as the team heads to #11 Oregon and Washington this weekend. First serve against the ranked Ducks is slated for 9:30 p.m. CT on FS1. The match against the Huskies, who are receiving votes in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, is scheduled for 9 p.m. on B1G+.

The 2024 campaign marks the 51st season of Illinois volleyball, with the Illini holding an overall record of 1,073-625-7 (.632). Chris Tamas enters his eighth season at the helm for the Orange and Blue, boasting a 139-83 (.627) mark.

LAST TIME OUT

Illinois volleyball closed out non-conference play with a gutsy 3-2 triumph at Lipscomb. Raina Terry led the way with 23 kills and five aces in the match. Christina Martinez Mundo logged a season-high 26 digs while Cari Bohm and Laynie Smith amassed six blocks each.

REIGN OF TERROR  

Raina Terry continues to impress as the outside hitter competes in her final season in the Orange and Blue. Entering Big Ten play, the Ohio native ranks second in the Big Ten with 210.5 points and 5.13 points per set this year. Terry’s 173 total kills during the 2024 campaign puts the pin in second place in the conference. During the Illini’s four tournaments, so this year, the Orange and Blue standout was named to all four all-tournament…
