DALLAS, PA. – Makenna Clark ’25 tallied a combined 15 kills on the day as the Elmira College women’s volleyball program dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions against SUNY New Paltz and Montclair State on Saturday afternoon at the Misericordia Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Soaring Eagles tallied nine kills as a team in the first set against New Paltz compared to just three attacking errors.
- New Paltz would hit an impressive .522 as a team in the second set as the Hawks notched 13 kills compared to just one attacking error, while the Soaring Eagles registered six attacking errors.
- Elmira attempted to rally from a 14-4 deficit in the third set against the Hawks as the Soaring Eagles recorded eight kills as a team and trimmed the deficit to 20-16.
- Makenna Clark ’25 paced EC with eight kills, while Morgan Richardson ’25 added six kills and three service aces.
- In their second match of the day, the Soaring Eagles would see Montclair State record 18 kills and hit .375 as a team to take a 1-0 lead. Elmira registered nine kills in the set while recording just three attacking errors.
