BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team and the Fiske Planetarium are teaming up to offer a unique family STEAM night – featuring science, technology, engineering, athletics, and math. The first “Solar Stampede” at Fiske will take place this Friday Oct. 27th from 5:15-6:15 p.m. before volleyball hosts USC at 7 p.m. at the CUEC. The second Solar Stampede at Fiske will take place after volleyball’s match against Washington on Nov. 19.
The Solar Stampede will feature astronomy experts holding an interactive presentation about stars and planets while also immersing fans in the women’s volleyball routine by using a 360 degree, full dome immersive viewing experience. Additionally, the presentation will feature exclusive interviews with some of the CU Volleyball Buffs!
It’s an event that will be out of this world!
