NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – In a back-and-forth match, No. 6 Stanford came up short at CSUN, 25-21, 24-26, 25-22, 18-25, 13-15, Friday, at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
Playing in its third five-set match of the season, Stanford (6-2) hit .279 as a team and registered 10.0 blocks, seven aces and a season-high 52 digs. CSUN (5-5) hit .273 and had 6.0 blocks, six aces and 61 digs.
Outside hitter Will Rottman posted his third 20+ kill match of the season, finishing with 21 on a .278 attack percentage, a season-high eight digs, three blocks and two aces.

Setter Nathan Lietzke controlled the offense with 47 assists and notched his second double-double of the year with a season-high 11 digs. Libero Justin Lui anchored the defense with a team-best 14 digs and had zero reception errors on 31 attempts.
