Carly Anderson Joins Badger Volleyball


MADISON, Wis. – Head coach Kelly Sheffield announced that Carly Anderson, a 5-fot-9 setter, will join the nine-time Big Ten Champion Wisconsin volleyball team this spring. Anderson joins the Badgers have spending four seasons at Montana, where she is a two-time Second Team All-Big Sky selection.
 
“I am really excited to bring Carly in as a part of our program,” said Badger head coach Kelly Sheffield.  “With over 3,600 assists while playing in almost 400 career sets, she is one of the most experienced setters in the country.  She’s been a four-year starting setter and has been team captain for her team the past few years.  She loves being in the gym and competing.  She locates well and puts in a nice serve.  Carly will be here this spring training with the team which will be big for her and the team.”
 
The Mississauga, Ontario native moved into sixth place in the program’s all-time assists category with 3,637 in her career, and ranked third in the Big Sky Conference with 9.44 assists per set, and ranked fifth with 0.39 aces per set. Anderson is one-of-three Grizzlies as the only two-time All-Conference for the Grizzlies.
 
Academically, Anderson is three-time Academic All-Big Sky honoree and as a junior and senior, she was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. She is an Integrative Physiology major with a 3.98 GPA.
 
As a prep, Anderson was a three-year captain, two-time team MVP, and twice represented her province on Team Ontario, including at the 2019 USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Florida.
