Alba Blaj prevailed 3-1 in a tense encounter at the Sala Sporturilor Tirgu Mures, where both teams put up a fierce fight for a place in the final. CS Volei Alba Blaj had won their first battle against C.S.M. Targoviste in straight sets a week ago and were determined to complete their mission in front of their home crowd.
In the end, it was a well-deserved victory for the home team, with Gergana Dimitrova leading the way with 14 points. Targoviste’s Didona Zadrojnai put in a valiant effort and was the best scorer of the match, with 16 points to her name.
With their victory over Targoviste, CS Volei Alba Blaj will now face Savino Del Bene Scandicci in the final of the CEV Cup.
