Savino Del Bene Scandicci dominated THY Istanbul in the first leg of the Cev Cup semifinals, winning 3-0 (27-25, 25-12, 25-18) in Florence.
Scandicci put up a strong performance and was led by Ekaterina Antropova, who scored 18 points (52%, 1 block, 3 aces). Zhu Ting added 11 points to the scoreboard, with 50% success rate in attack. For THY Istanbul, Madison Kingdon Rishel led the team’s scoring with 12 points, while Kiera Van Ryk added 10 points to the tally. Despite their efforts, the Turkish team was unable to match the power and accuracy of Scandicci’s players.
The second leg of the semifinals will take place on March 22 in Istanbul. Scandicci only needs to win two sets to secure their spot in the final.
