COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri alumna Colleen Finney has signed a professional volleyball contract with A.O. Lamias 2013 in Greece.
Finney, a middle blocker from Blythewood, South Carolina, started and competed in all 62 matches over her graduate seasons (2023-2024) at Mizzou.
She helped the Tigers make consecutive NCAA Tournament Appearances including an NCAA Sweet 16 run in 2024.
With MU, Finney totaled 347 kills on a .374 hitting percentage with 155 total blocks over two seasons. Her hitting percentage ranks third all-time in Missouri career history.
She registered 193 kills this past fall while hitting a career-best .432 and personal-high 87 blocks. Finney tallied a career-best seven blocks twice in 2024 including most recently in the 2024 NCAA Second Round matchup with SMU (Dec. 6) in Dallas.
Finney tallied double-digit kills in three matches over her final collegiate season including a season-best 12 at Mississippi State (Nov. 24, 2024).
A Clemson transfer, Finney totaled 755 kills and 297 blocks with 934.0 points over 125 matches spanning five seasons.
Finney is the fourth professional player for head coach Dawn Sullivan at Missouri after Dilara Gedikoglu returned to her home country of Turkey to play for Shining Stars following the 2023 campaign while Mychael Vernon (Akademia Sant’Anna Messina in Italy) and Kiaraliz Perez Catala (Puerto Rico’s Las Changas de Naranjito) both signed pro contracts this month.
